This month’s charity partner is a cause that benefits Morpeth and the local community.
Morpeth Lions are part of an international network of volunteers designed to help their local communities. The Lions of our area do some great work in the area, all with the aim of improving the town or raising money for causes that work in Morpeth. Whether hosting charity events such as swimathons at Morpeth Leisure Centre or a party in the park for families, the Lions have done brilliant things for the people of Morpeth and the surrounding areas. Even just last month, their volunteers were conducting a litter blitz in an effort to tidy up the town.
Charities and organisations who have benefitted from the Lions’ work include Wansbeck Valley Food Bank, Great North Air Ambulance, Amble Lifeboat and Cleasewell Hill Special School. Their charity number is 1175272 and they will be at Craik Park on home match days with their donation buckets so don’t forget to put your spare change in if you can.

A charity that does great things in our local community is one that deserves plenty of support. We here at Morpeth Town appreciate their efforts.
