Five goal in 18 minutes moved Morpeth Town five points clear at the top of the EBAC Northern League table despite a second half comeback by Whitley Bay.
Luke Carr and Michael Chilton both netted twice, Jordan Fry notching the other, as the Highwaymen played out an eight goal thriller with their Northumberland rivals. Liam Hudson, Adam Shanks and Stuart Bramley replied for the hosts in a game that saw seven, yes seven, headed goals.
