New Morpeth Town signing Jack Foalle admitted the lure of playing in Evo-Stik East was too good to turn down after he joined the Highwaymen.

The striker had netted 17 goals in 15 games for Whitley Bay in the Northern League, with a scoring run of 10 consecutive games, before Morpeth came calling this week. Following Adam Burnicle’s switch to West Auckland Town, the Highwaymen were in need of striking reinforcements. Not only have they got that, but they have a striker who has grand ambitions which he is determined to achieve. “The club’s ambition to progress and move forward matched my own ambitions to play at the highest standard possible,” Foalle told the club website.

“Morpeth was the club that attracted me the most. I would love to have a good run in the Senior Cup and have the chance to play at St James’ Park. With Morpeth, that dream can be more of a reality.”

Foalle is expected to make his home debut in Saturday’s clash with Gresley at Craik Park (3pm). To read more of his interview, pick up your copy of the Highwaymen match day programme on Saturday.
