Morpeth Town’s match day programme, The Highwaymen, has been awarded second place in the EBAC Northern League’s programme of the year accolade.

Taking into account the programmes from every single club in Division One and Division Two, the competition was based on the front cover, design and layout, as well as the content and the variety of content available.

Morpeth’s version narrowly missed out on winning to North Shields, whose programme editor Russ Wynn leaves the role following an extended period of time. Congratulations to him on his success. Blyth AFC came third in a top three which, according to the league, was separated by three points overall.

A big thank you to all those who have contributed to the programme over the course of the season, including George Davidson, whose action shots have provided fantastic diversity to the content, and Andrew McDonnell, whose initial help with the handover of the media side at Morpeth was much appreciated.

As the writer of this article and media manager, it has been an absolute joy to be involved with Morpeth Town since joining the club in September. Working with brilliant people from top to bottom, it has been a pleasure to produce the match day programme and I hope you have enjoyed reading it. With some changes to follow, here’s hoping we have the best programme in the Evo-Stik League, to go with the best team in the division!
