Morpeth Town made it eight games unbeaten in the league thanks to a brace from Liam Henderson and goals from Joe Walton and Michael Chilton as the Highwaymen produced an emphatic scoreline to beat West Auckland Town 4-1.

It wasn’t plain sailing for the hosts however, as the visitors forced Karl Dryden into a number of first half saves, also hitting the post before picking up a late conciliation via the penalty spot, Zak Boagey on target.

Morpeth have now made it 14 wins out of 15 league games at Craik Park, but face two away trips in the next week as we travel to Guisborough Town on Wednesday before a top of the table clash against North Shields on Saturday.
