Game Notes

Morpeth Town remain on a four game unbeaten streak despite a disappointing 2-2 draw away to high flying Sunderland RCA on Saturday.

After wins against Consett, North Shields and West Auckland Town, Morpeth were held to a point by RCA who sit 3rd in the EBAC Northern League table.

Midfielder Paul Robinson continued his goal scoring form last time out, making it six goals in six games for the Highwaymen.

He is also one of just four players who have played in every game so far this season for Nick Gray and Dave Malone’s side, the others being Michael Chilton, Damen Mullen and Keith Graydon.

Karl Dryden returns from suspension for the game, meanwhile Ashington will be without Ben Harmison as he serves the final game of his three match ban.

The Colliers have had a tough start to the season, conceding three goals per game in the league so far this term.
