Morpeth are on the road for the first time since September 2nd when they make the journey to Guisborough Town on Saturday.

Their 3pm kick-off is a chance to continue a three-match winning streak and banish memories of their previous away day, a humbling 3-0 defeat at the hands of Seaham Red Star; their only league defeat of the season to date.

SNAPSHOT PREVIEW

FORM: Guisborough are on a rotten run of form, losing four of their previous six league games, conceding 17 in the process at an average of a touch under three per game. Sitting 18th in the division, it has been a tough start to the campaign for the Teessiders. What will be of most concern will be the heavy defeat to West Auckland (9-0) in the league, and the cup losses to Shildon (5-1) and Ryhope (7-1).

Morpeth have been in sparkling form, winning three on the bounce at Craik Park. Dispatching of West Auckland 3-2 showed a different side to the Highwaymen, as a resilient display ensured all three points against one of the best teams in the league.

LAST GAME: North Shields travelled to King George V Stadium and left with all three points following a 2-0 victory. Lee Mason put visiting Shields ahead on 32 minutes before Gareth Bainbridge doubled their advantage three minutes later. That was a second home league loss in three games, with the Highwaymen hoping to pile on more home gloom for the hosts.

Goals from Joe Walton and a double from Sean Taylor earned Morpeth victory at the expense of West Auckland. In a hard-fought encounter, Town were stretched, with West striker Nathan Fisher in outstanding form, but they ground out the win despite the latter scoring with 11 minutes to go to set up a frantic finale.

ONE TO WATCH: Steven Roberts has been in solid goal scoring form, registering at an average of nearly one goal per league game. With eight to his name already this campaign, in just nine games, Roberts will be one to watch on Saturday.

WHERE TO WATCH: King George V Stadium, Howlbeck Road, Guisborough.
