Game Notes

Morpeth Town take on Northern Alliance Division One side New Fordley as they continue their preparations for the new Northern League season.

After a hectic weekend, where the Highwaymen played two games in under 24 hours in Scotland, they return to play their first pre-season match in the North East this summer.

Unlike the previous three friendlies, Nick Gray and Dave Malone have a full squad to choose from, and they will be looking to, once again, give players time under their belts.

Morpeth played two Scottish Lowland League sides last weekend, as they thrashed Hawick Royal Albert 5-1 on Friday night and narrowly edged out Gala Fairydean Rovers 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Gray and Malone takes their side to Barras Gardens and face New Fordley, who will be looking to step up their game against the current FA Vase champions.

Ben Sayer missed the trip to Scotland and is set for a return, meanwhile, forward Liam Henderson will be looking to add to his goal that he scored against Gala on Saturday.
