Morpeth Town are pleased to announce the signings of Andrew McDonnell and Chris Chambers to the media team at the club.

Andrew joins the club from Bedlington Terriers where he picked up the leagues prestigious “Programme of the Year” Award and is a sports journalism student from Sunderland Unviersity.

Andrew McDonnell:

“When I found out Morpeth wanted my services, it was a big surprise, but a huge honour that such a big club were after me.”

“These are the FA Vase winners and a side that want to win the league, and to be a part of the forthcoming season was something that I just
couldn’t turn down.”

“I want to thank Bedlington Terriers for the chance they gave me two years ago, and that experience has got me to the place I am now today.”

“I want to bring Morpeth town even further forward in terms of interaction with fans and social media.”

“I won the programme of the year award in the first season doing the programmes and I am more than confident that the award will be sitting at Craik Park this time next year.”

“I hope that doesn’t come across as arrogance, but I have every bit of confidence in the work I do, whether it is the programmes, match reports or media work as a whole.”

“It isn’t everyday that you get to work with a chairman who is aspassionate about the club as Ken (Beattie) is, and I know a few personnel at the club already.”

“I spoke to Nicky (Gray) at Wembley and I am looking forward to working with him and the squad too.”

“To say I am part of this club is a bit surreal to be honest. It is something I always dreamt of when I came into he world of journalism.”

Morpeth have beaten a number of clubs to secure his services.

Along with Andrew, Chris Chambers will be joining the club as a photographer.
