Joint Morpeth Town boss Dave Malone felt his side did themselves proud, following a 3-1 loss in the Techflow Group Senior Cup final at St James’ Park.
On level terms at the interval, The Highwaymen just couldn’t find a crucial second goal before United pulled clear in the final third of the game. After the game, Malone couldn’t hide his disappointment as Town came so close to end of season cup glory.
