Morpeth Town’s fixtures for the 2017-18 Northern League Division One season have been revealed and they will open up the season with a trip to Stockton Town.

The Highwaymen will face Stockton, who won Division Two at the first time of asking last season, and then go against another newly-promoted side in Billingham Synthonia in the first league game at Craik Park.

There are seven games during August, with the final game coming on Bank Holiday Monday against neighbours Ashington at home.

North Shields and West Auckland Town come to Morpeth in September, while the trip to Penrith falls on Saturday, October 14 this year.

A trip to newly-promoted Team Northumbria is the final game of October, while a clash at home to Shildon awaits a weeks later.

The Highwaymen will be away to Ashington on Boxing Day this year, and the first game of 2018 will be away to North Shields.

February sees Morpeth go up against three sides that finished in the top 10 last season; West Auckland, Benfield and Bishop Auckland – all away games.

The run-in to the end of the season sees Nick Gray and Dave Malone’s side face off against Shildon, Washington and Ryhope CW before the final game of the season against Consett at home.

All dates are subject to change.
