Morpeth Town will see it as two points dropped as they came away from Frenchfield with a 2-2 draw against Penrith.
The Highwaymen came from behind twice thanks to Michael Chilton and Luke Carr, but it was the referee who took centre stage, awarding a questionable penalty before sending midfielder Mateusz Halambiec off for a 50/50 challenge, punishing far worse challenges by the opposition with just cautions or no card at all.
The inept display from the man in the middle soured what was an excellent game of football, with a draw a fair reflection of the play.
