Morpeth Town’s penultimate away game of the 2017-18 season is against Guisborough Town, who they beat twice in the league last season.

Morpeth Town put Guisborough Town to the sword in their two games against the Priorymen last season.

The first game was at Craik Park in early November, and a brace from Liam Henderson and goals from Keith Graydon and Steven Anderson completed the 4-0 victory.

Morpeth’s fans were sent home happy once more when the Highwaymen went one better at King George V Ground last season by winning 5-0.

Henderson was among the goals once again with a brace, while Michael Turner, Joe Walton and Paul Robinson also got on the scoresheet.

Guisborough announced that Nathan Steel had re-joined the club from Billingham Synthonia, who were promoted to Division One after finishing third in Division Two last season.

The Teesside outfit also revealed that they’ve signed Mark Robinson from Evo-Stik side Whitby Town, and a list of retained players was also announced.

The Priorymen have had their first pre-season fixture, they came out 2-0 winners against North Riding League side Nunthorpe FC Seniors.

There have been 33 meetings between the two sides since the 1996-97 season, with Morpeth winning on 15 occasions, 12 Guisborough wins and six draws.

As for the record down at the King George V Ground, Morpeth have won five of the 15 meetings since ’96, Guisborough have won seven games and the sides have drawn three times.
