Morpeth Town will take on Marske United in the middle of October at Craik Park. Co-managers Nick Gray and Dave Malone will be hoping for a repeat of the double success over the Seasiders last campaign.

A Liam Henderson brace along with a goal from midfielder Jordan Fry sealed a 3-0 at the GER Stadium for the Highwayman last November.

Fry was at it again in the final home game of the season as his brace went alongside strikes from Henderson and Sean Taylor to seal a 4-2 victory and round off a home season that contained just one defeat.

Seasiders manager Carl Jarrett has committed to the club by signing a new two-year contract and has since set to work on improving his squad.

Although they have lost Connor Hood to Newton Aycliffe, they’ve brought in Billingham Synthonia Player-of-the-Year Josh Rowbotham.

Fellow defender Leon Carling has returned to the club from Bishop Auckland, forward Zak Boagey has joined from West Auckland Town and midfielder Chay Liddle has also arrived from Billingham Synthonia.

Morpeth’s biggest defeat in the fixture was a 7-1 hammering at the GER Stadium on 8 March, 2011. Their biggest win was 3-0 win at the GER Stadium last season.

The overall record between the clubs since Marske’s promotion to Division One in 1998-99 is nine Morpeth wins, 10 Marske victories and four draws in 22 league meetings and one FA cup tie, which Morpeth won on penalties.
