After taking a look at Division Two champions Stockton Town at the very start of this series, we check on the side that were promoted as runners-up last season, Team Northumbria.

Morpeth Town will travel to newly-promoted Team Northumbria looking for, what would be, their first ever win at Coach Lane.

In fact, although this will only be the seventh competitive meeting between the two clubs, the Highwayman have only won one of the previous six games. That being a 7-2 hammering at Craik Park back in September 2013.

The fixture on October 28 could well provide Morpeth with that historic first win at Coach Lane in what will also be only the third clash in Division One of the Northern League between the two sides.

Morpeth co-managers Nick Gray and Dave Malone will know not to take the students lightly. During their promotion campaign last year, Paul Johnson’s side won 28 of their 40 matches, accumulating 89 points and scoring 98 goals in the process.

Team North finished behind eventual champions Stockton Town by just four points. They may not have made any new signings this summer, but 20-goal forward Ben Dibb-Fuller could prove to be one to watch.

The overall record in the short history of contests stands at one Morpeth win, two draws and three victories for Team Northumbria.
