We are delighted to announce the signing of versatile defender Dan Myers, following his departure from Spennymoor Town.
The primarily left-sided defender spent time on loan at Blyth Spartans last campaign where he was picked out by supporters as a stand-out performer.
The 23 year-old becomes the third new face of the summer alongside Joel Holvey and Billy Gordon, with Luke James and Sam Hodgson making their stays permanent.
Myers said: “I’m buzzing to get started with Morpeth. I can’t wait to get the season started and help build from last year’s success by getting into the play-offs.”
Craig Lynch added: “We are delighted to welcome Dan to the club, he’s someone we’ve been after a few times now and James has worked hard in securing him. He ticks a lot of boxes we look for, he can play multiple positions, and is tall, strong and quick.
“He gives us extra balance on the left and will work well with Joel. I feel Dan is at the point now where he needs to feel settled and be a first-team player and I feel we are the right club to again help with his progression. Hopefully he’s the first of a few more additions before the start of the season.”
