Former Morpeth Town midfielder David Carson has praised the club after his departure for Inverness Caley Thistle.
A sparkling season – as Town stormed to a league and cup double – propelled Carson into the scouting spotlight, with Inverness snapping up the 23-year-old recently.
But the league player of the year, and supporters’ player of the year, remains thankful to the Highwaymen fans for their support during his time at Craik Park.
“I just want to say a massive thank you to each and every person at the club,” he said.
“That is the players, the staff, the chairman and everyone behind the scenes. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Morpeth and the lads are brilliant. The fans, week in week out, were always behind us. I’ll miss the club massively.
“I wish them all the best for the future and will continue to support them.”
