Striker Stephen Elliott has informed the Morpeth Town management of his decision to retire from the sport.
After joining midway through last season, the former Republic of Ireland international – who has played for Sunderland, Wolves and Preston North End among others – made 21 appearances for the Highwaymen and netted five times for the club.
The club would like to wish him well in his future endeavours.
