Morpeth Town are delighted to announce the signing of Carl Finnigan from Whickham FC.
The forward joins on loan and goes straight into the squad for this afternoon’s clash at Grantham Town in the NPL Premier Division. After sealing the switch, Finnigan spoke of his desire to kick on at Craik Park.
“I was immediately impressed by the improvements at the ground and the big ambitions Ken (Beattie, chairman) has for the club,” Finnigan told the club website.
“It’s a tough league to win but I’m hoping we can be up there challenging by the end of the season. Nick (Gray, manager) has put a brilliant squad together and I’m certain he’ll keep the focus high to try and achieve that.”
Ben Harmison moves in the opposite direction on a one-month loan.
