We are delighted to announce the signing of Joel Holvey, following the expiration of his contract at Blyth Spartans.
The left wing-back is the first Highwaymen signing of the summer and is a former Rotherham United scholar and played most recently for Blyth Spartans.
Holvey, 20, commented after putting pen to paper: “I’m buzzing to join the club and can’t wait to get started for the new season.”
Craig Lynch is delighted to welcome the first body through the door this summer: “Since Leon’s (Gibson-Booth) departure, the left side was a position we needed to fill and Joel is someone who fits our profile.
“He is comfortable on the ball, played 30+ games in the league and is young, and someone who we believe we can make keep helping with his development. We are pleased to get this signing done for our first of the new season and we should have more to follow in the upcoming weeks.”
