Morpeth Town are delighted to announce the signing of Josh King, on loan from National League North side York City, for the rest of the season.
The highly-rated 20-year-old joins the Highwaymen to bolster their defensive options, with manager Nick Gray pleased to get the deal confirmed.
King, who was part of Carlisle United’s Park View team last season, is player who shows a calm head on the ball and likes to bring the ball out of defence regularly.
“He was the captain of the National League and cup double-winning side last season with me at Carlisle,” manager Gray told the club website.
“He’s a great lad with a fantastic attitude and a bright future ahead of him in the game.”
King is available for selection for Saturday’s clash at Stalybridge Celtic in the NPL Premier Division.
