Morpeth Town manager Nick Gray believes the NPL have made the correct decision in postponing the season, following an escalation in the outbreak of Coronavirus.
COVID-19 has caused the cancellation of a range of sports and events across the World, with the Northern Premier League announcing today that the league season will be postponed until further notice.
“People’s health and welfare is obviously the priority, so I appreciate we have to accept what the measures are,” Gray told the club website.
“It’s disappointing that we don’t know when we will play again or if the season will actually be finished now. But all we can do is train and prepare and try to stay focused and motivated.”
The club would like to wish everyone the best during these turbulent times.
