Morpeth Town 0-4 Shildon

Morpeth Town’s title challenge could be on it’s last legs after a 4-0 defeat at the hands of runaway leaders Shildon on Monday night at Craik Park

Billy Greulich-Smith and and Anthony Bell penalty had given the visitors the lead in the first half, with Morpeth having a ball cleared off the line, despite numerous claims it was a yard over interjecting the two Shildon goals.

Town defender Michael Hall was then given his marching orders for a second yellow card, the second of which was unfortunate as Hall slipped during the process of the challenge, causing the foul.

The second half saw champions elect Shildon score twice more early in the period with Jonny Davis and a second from Greulich-Smith secured the three points for the Railwaymen.
