Leek Town 1-0 Morpeth Town
The Highwaymen fell to a second straight consecutive defeat in the NPL Premier Division in Staffordshire.
A rebounded headed effort from Connor Heath was the difference in the scoreline on a afternoon where many chances went begging.
The first half saw many efforts at goal from both sides, especially from outside the area by the Highwaymen, but both goalkeepers remained firm.
Midway through the half Leek broke quickly in behind and Hayden Campbell tried to round Langley who saved his effort, which bounced up perfectly for the onrushing Heath to thump the ball in with his head.
The midway interval saw Hodgson come on to replace Bollado which brought even more Morpeth chances, but the clinical touch couldn’t be found.
Morpeth Town: Langley; Evans, Myers, King, Holvey; Dowling (Chungh 81′), Robson, Gordon (Griggs 75′); James, Bollado (Hodgson 46′), Giraud.
Unused sub: Brown, Chater.
