Morpeth Town can confirm that Callum Williams has left the club by mutual consent.

The defender, who had signed from Spennymoor Town, leaves as he seeks to develop his business interests.

Williams, a former Newcastle United junior, made 17 appearances for the Highwaymen prior to his departure, with club CEO Mark Hedley keen to wish him luck in his future endeavours.

“Callum always gave his best for the club and we’d like to thank him for his efforts during his time at Craik Park,” he said of the 24-year-old.

“We’re sorry to see him go but understand his reasons and accept them. We wish him well in his future career.”

Good luck for the future Callum!
